    2006

    Basics begins a program to bring fresh fruit into Janesville's schools.

    Basics enters the Janesville Labor Day Parade for the first time ever--employees and even a board member dressed up as veggies to spread the good word.

    Lynnette Wirth started as the new General Manager of Basics Cooperative in January.

    2005

    Basics Cooperative is named the 2005 Retailer of the Year by leading national trade magazine, WholeFoods Magazine!

    David Roang was named one of the "50 People Who Matter" by the Janesville Gazette, largely because of his work in putting together the Basics Cooperative.

    2004

    Jane Stamm, the leader of our Health and Beauty Section, is featured in the December issue of Health Products Business Magazine.

    Basics announces that it will become a cooperative effective January 1, 2005. Click the cooperative tab above to get all the information about the new Co-op!

    Basics is featured as the Energy Times Retailer of the Month, in the industry-leading Energy Times Healthy Profits mailing.

    Basics begins its exciting new affiliation with the Naturopathic Family Clinic in Janesville.

    In a nationwide contest, Basics wins the third place award from Garden of Life for an innovative display of Garden of Life Products!

    2003
    Jessica Lawton, a local triathlete sponsored by Basics, qualifies for the 2004 Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

    Peter Roang Memorial Scholarship Fund established with Spotlight on Kids, an organization dedicated to bringing kids into the dramatic arts (www.spotlightonkids.org). Basics also was the lead sponsor of Spotlight on Kids presentation of Peter Pan.
