Local McFarland wholesaler, Left Bank Wine, is bringing us a selection of sustainable wines from EverEarth!

What is sustainable wine?

According to Well + Good, in order to be certified sustainable, wineries and vineyards must have an independent third party evaluate their farming practices and see if they meet certain eco-friendly standards. These standards run the gamut of composting waste to make fertilizer, conserving water, and reducing energy consumption and pesticide use.

EverEarth wines are produced at the Bear Creek Winery in Lodi, California, which is certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. In addition to the vineyards and production facility being certified sustainable, EverEarth has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the wine industry.

Why drink sustainable wine?
