At Basics, Ownership looks a little different for everyone - and that’s exactly what makes our Co‑op feel so special. This month, we’re spotlighting a mother‑daughter duo who’ve been part of our community for years. Together, they bring more than a decade of support, healthy habits, and co‑op love.
Daughter Melissa enjoys the variety of natural and organic options. She is always up for trying new things like bison and venison, and the Field Day frozen fish has become a recent family favorite! She is happy to be able to support local producers. She recently discovered that Owners get an extra produce discount on Mondays, and she’s planning to check out the Co‑op Explorers Kids Club.
Mom Laurie gravitates toward natural items and supplements, and she especially enjoys shopping on Super Tuesdays. She always mentions how friendly the staff is, and she loves being able to attend classes in the Community Room.
Ownership fits into their lives in different ways, but both show how easy - and rewarding - it is to be part of the Basics community.
