Alternatives to Violence

YWCA Alternatives to Violence assists domestic violence victims in imminent danger in Rock County with a 33-bed shelter, basic needs (beds, linens, food, clothing, and personal care items), and other case management and program services. The crisis shelter is accessible to those fleeing domestic abuse from intimate partners.

Help keep the shelter stocked! Items especially in need include:

• Shelf-stable foods

• Personal care items such as antiperspirant, shampoo & conditioner

• Fresh pillows.

• Drop them off at the Basics service desk June 1-30, 2026.

Basics Co-op Owners, get an extra raffle ticket when you bring a YWCA donation to the Annual Owner Social at Basics on June 9! Winners must be present to win.
