What makes Bering Bounty ‘local’?
Established in 2008 by Mark McKeown, Bering Bounty LLC is the first seafood company in Wisconsin run by a commercial fisherman. Based in Verona, Wisconsin, Bering Bounty sustainably catches their seafood off the coast of Alaska. Their salmon and cod contain no dyes, hormones or preservatives.
Bering Bounty was the first in the world to qualify as being fully sustainable under the auspices of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). The MSC is a global nonprofit organization established to address the problem of unsustainable fishing and to safeguard seafood supplies for the future.
