Local beef. Raised right.

Since 2010, Beggs Fat Bottom Farms has been the home of Beggs Black Angus Beef. These cattle are raised right down the road in the Town of Leyden!

Fat Bottom Farms is a third-generation farm in rural Rock County, WI. The farm has a rich pastoral background and follows the core values of nurturing the land and animals and being a good steward of the environment.

What makes Fat Bottom Farms Black Angus different?

Fat Bottom Farms uses a nutrition package that is designed for each phase of the life cycle. This includes:

•Weaning calves graze on a special blend of grass to give the optimal amount of protein.

•Feeder calves (weighing between 600-700 pounds) are introduced to small amounts of grain corn, oats, and protein in addition to rotational grazing. We balance pasturing and hand-feeding to ensure they are not overfed.

•Finisher cattle (weighing over 1000 pounds) spend 4-6 months on a well-balanced made of roughage, grain, and other renewable feed sources.

From field to table, Beggs Fat Bottom Farms raises high-quality steers that produce high-quality meat.
