Even in his college years, Joshua studied teas and herbs of the world - creating botanical blends and herb-infused mixology drinks for friends. His world travels allowed him to expand his knowledge of ingredients and ancient food traditions.
In 1997, Joshua turned his passion for tea into a business by creating Rishi Tea (originally known as Diaspora Tea & Herb Company). Since its inception, Rishi Tea has been a leader in organic tea. In 2002, Rishi Tea was one of the first to earn certification under the USDA National Organic Program.
Rishi is a selector, importer, and maker of organic teas. Still today, Joshua and Rishi's team travel the world searching for the best tea ingredients. Rishi is committed to importing only organic teas and botanicals by working with artisan growers and specialist producers to ensure the products are free from chemicals.
