Four Elements Herbals
Healing Power of Nature
Jane and David Stevens
Four Elements Organic Herbals began its journey in 1987, founded by Jane Hawley—a trailblazer in organic farming. At just 18, Jane chose horticulture as her calling, and alongside her husband David Stevens, also a horticulturist, they began cultivating herbs on their 130-acre farm nestled in the scenic Baraboo Bluffs.
Certified organic since 1990, their commitment to sustainability, community, and wellness has never wavered. In 2020, Jane and David were honored as Organic Farmers of the Year by MOSES (now Marbleseed.org), recognizing their stewardship of the land and devotion to their employees and customers.
Today, they grow more than 200 varieties of herbs used to craft a wide range of wellness products—from teas and tinctures to creams, sprays, and lip balms. Their herbal offerings also include foraged plants like dandelion, chickweed, white pine, and burdock—each valued for its healing properties.
As Four Elements has grown, so has its community. Products are lovingly handmade by a team of talented local women and are available to customers across the country.
