Founded in the 1930’s, Vito (Bunky) and Ninfa Capadona founded one of the first Italian restaurants in the Greenbush area of Madison.

Today their legacy continues with the Capadona’s great-grandaughter, Teresa Pullara, and her husband, Rachid Ouabel, who have combined the flavors of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

While Bunky’s Cafe no longer operates as a restaurant, their past success has allowed them to convert to catering private events and delivering directly to local stores. Bunky’s serves up gluten free pastry options such as Rachid’s Carrot Cake and Belgium Chocolate Cake. At Basics we also carry Bunky’s Baklava, Hummus, Baba Ganouj, and Falafel!

Bunky’s products are delivered to the Co-op fresh weekly on Thursdays - get them while supplies last!
